I was lucky enough to see the Emergency Broadcast at Bradford Student Union last night - thoroughly enjoyed it, great show all round.
However, one very strange thing happened. I don't want to spoil the show for anyone, but at one point Ray is sat on his own doing a little solo song. Whilst this was going on, a girl sat in front of me became properly upset, and started crying uncontrollably. She then ran out in tears, and didn't reappear for the rest of the show. All very odd.
Also, I felt a little bit out of place (I am 33, and everyone else there was a proper young student), but everyone was really cool. Despite me being happily married with two kids, I was chatted up twice whilst at the show, both times by fairly large blokes (not Ray and Ed). I now assume I give off some sort of gay aura.
Anyway, 5 stars, lots of funny bits.
