Does anybody else think that having someone on the podcast that laughs loudly is a very powerful and underestimated asset for a comedy podcast? Both with Peacock and Gamble, and Ricky, Steve and Karl, the laughing from Ricky and Ed seem incredibly infectious. And even though I enjoy listening to the Collings and Herrin one I don't think I actually laugh a lot, and I don't get into it anywhere near as much as P&G or RSK (and the old RPP of course). And that's probably because they aren't as funny, but it could be in part because neither of them laugh particularly hard or very often.
Aside from it just being infectious, I'm not sure why that would be. It might be because when it sounds like they're enjoying it, I enjoy it more. I don't know.
Anyway, I was just wondering if anybody else felt the same way.

I think the only two podcasts I've laughed out loud to are P&G's and Ricky Jingle's as well.
I think these two have spoiled podcasts for me,comedy ones anyway. I keep downloading various other ones but they're all rubbish. The only ones I can tolerate are Jay and Silent Bob Get Old and the Collings and Herrin but I rarely if ever laugh out loud.

Of course, laughter is very infectious. It applies for most forms of comedy i find. I dont usually laugh out loud at DVDs or Family Guy unless there's someone there watching with me.
Also it helps that Ed's laugh is amazing.

I'm listening back through both the Xfm show and P&G and I crack up any time Ricky cackles or Ed does his patented whine/moan.

One of the single funniest bits of any of the podcasts is the bit where Ray is trying to practice his acting to Paddy Debusey. Ed's laugh during Ray's chinese cleaning lady is just outstanding.
Second best Ed laugh is after Ray says "have some Muslim for a snack in the afternoon naughty".
