Runaways is good - I just couldn't shake off the constant feeling that Marvel were making a "teen" comic and were trying to rather ham fistedly trying to cram in "issues" at every available opportunity. It is OK though.
Before I forget, We3 is a wonderful mini series by Grant Morrison. Worth a look.
Has anyone read Planetary? Thinking of diving into that soon.
I've mentioned Invincible at least twice so...
(saying that, I am VERY behind with it, he hasn't even *SPOILERS* got his new suit yet.)
I keep seeing posters for that film Runaways and almost always double take at it, thinking it's something to do with the comics. Think I'm slowly giving myself whiplash.
I haven't read Planetary but a couple of friends have been continually recommending it to me for about 5 years so it's probably pretty decent.

I am no good at forums - I just skim read everything else and then blithely put what I want to say. Has anyone mentioned Preacher yet?
I'm trying to recall conversations from years ago but I'm eighty percent sure that you should read The Authority before you embark on Planetary. I think there's a character in The Authority that re-occurs in Planetary.
I can vouch for The Authority's greatness having read that. It's Warren Ellis so you're in safe hands.

I just read Maus recently, which is one of the coolest but most depressing comics ive read. Got the whole thing off ebay for £7 which was a bargain. Currently halfway through Ex Machina which is also awesome, apart from like two lame issues. Anyone else read that? After reading Y: The Last Man i'm pretty excited to read anything by Brian K Vaughan tbh.
If anyone's a Johnny Cash fan on here, then I recommend the graphic novel "I See a Darkness" - a great piece of work.

I have now committed to Civil War for a bit. Seems Marvel are bringing all the different threads together in separate volumes so there is Civil War, Civil War Avengers, Civil War Spider-Man etc etc, and I am enjoying it much more even if my wallet is not. Only done CW & CW Avengers so far, but CW Fantastic Four, CW X-Men and CW Spider-Man are on order.

Print head, you read it before? I didnt enjoy the first few volumes anyway near as much as the later stuff. Midway through the second year i think it starts getting properly into it. And Ray, i dunno how you read so many different things at once like that. I have to go through one thing at a time. That's why i can't get interested in reading things like civil war.

I have just purchased the first HC volume of Chew. Anyone read that? Heard brilliant things.
Still ongoing with Invincible, Walking Dead, Y The Last Man, The Boys, Fables and Powers. Bit fucking expensive.
