Not the first I've heard of this. In the US, there have been incidents wherein people taking note of computer prices at big box stores like Best Buy have been asked to leave. If I remember correctly, they were actually just customers doing some homework before deciding where to make a purchase.
It's private property, so technically they can throw you out for any odd reason.

Got dragged into Tesco with my girlfriend the other day and once I saw some fucking peanuts for 3 fucking quid I had to just leave her to deal with that horrendous excuse for a supermarket on her own.
