Could I take this opportunity to thank T-Mobile for their shitty broadband service not letting me watching streaming video so I have no way to see the fringe video blogs and thus feel completely out of the loop and have no idea what the hell is going on with the boys. The general sense I get is that they're feeling a bit under-appreciated and so aren't making a massive effort to burst their arses getting the podcast out to us. If this is the case, I can't blame them if I'm honest. I consider myself a big fan (have listened since series 1 of the old Ray Peacock Podcast thanks) and yet have never made the effort to get out see either of them live or buy one of their DVDs or anything like that.
Its a behaviour I extend to most of the stuff I'm a fan of (i.e not paying), but it feels easier to excuse when it's like "oh I don't need to fund the massive multi billion dollar hollywood industry" or whatever. When it's these two guys who aren't particularly rich (well Ed has his dad I suppose) or famous it seems all the more important that I (and any other fans equally guilty) should really do more to support them. I pestered and asked for ages when they were coming to Scotland, and here they've just done the Edinburgh fucking Fringe and I didn't find to time to go see them. Never having contributed anything to people who have effectively given me so much over the years seems highly shitty the more I actually think about it. I mean, I've had two children in the time I've been listening to them. I've loved Ray and Ed longer than my own kids (that feels weird to say).
I suppose I'm rambling but my point is just that RAY AND ED I'M SORRY I HAVEN'T DONE ENOUGH FOR YOU LOVELY BOYS AND I PROMISE I'LL COME SEE YOU LIVE EVEN THOUGH YOU MIGHT NOT WANT ME TO AFTER THIS OBSESSIVE SOUNDING MESSAGE. I WILL ALSO BUY SOME MERCHANDISE ALL UP IF YOU PUT SOME ON SALE JUST PLEASE DON'T QUIT SHOWBUSINESS OR PODCASTING FOREVER THANKS.
