Beat Mass Effect 2 on PS3 this week and loved it. But then I got into this funk where I couldn't decide on a game to play. It seemed like everything I started I couldn't settle on; and then I finally admitted that Black Ops is kinda crappy.
So I cleaned the slate and downloaded Wild Arms, an old JRPG from 1997 and, though it's very dated, it's super fun.

I played the first few hours of ME1 on 360. Dull as fuck I thought,put me off forever.
I recently got Killzone3 and LittleBigPlanet2. Both are pretty damned good especially KZ3 (I love me some cockney space nazis).
PixelJunk Shooter 2 for PS3 from PSN is a really good game too.

I've never played ME1, though I've heard the sequel is quite the improvement over the original. Waiting for the price on KZ3 to go down. I liked KZ2, despite the goofy amount of unnecessary swearing.

I've got Mass Effect 2 lined up to play next, never played the first one either and have had 2 for ages but never started it.
Aquired Homefront on PC through someone who absolutely hated it and just wanted it out of their house, just finished the single player campaign in three fucking hours, for a game so heavily marketed on it's single player that's just fucking shameful. The story itself is one of the most ridiculous I've seen in a long time, so stupid and manipulative and just badly written, it's amazing to think it came from the guy who penned Apocalypse Now. In terms of gameplay it's a game so bereft of original ideas it might as well be called Call Of Duty/Battlefield: Homefront, graphics are a pile of shit too though the lightening effects in one moment did make me scream with laughter. Fucking pathetic.

Played Mass Effect 2 for a few hours, really enjoying it so far.
Just finished Ben 'Yahtzee' Croshaw's point and click game series The Chzo Mythos, comprised of 4 games: 5 Days A Stranger, 7 Days A Skeptic, Trilby's Notes and 6 Days A Sacrifice. I can't recommend them highly enough, extremely witty and very well written with buckets of charm and genuine creepiness occasionally, the interaction thing in the first game is a bit fiddly but worth it for the story. You can download all the special editions for free through searching the titles on Google. Great series.

Don't bother with beating Black Ops, Ray. It pretty much just ends with the US winning (spoilers).
Played the Arrival DLC for ME2 yesterday. It's good, but short. Now I'm playing Animal Crossing for the first time and loving it (named my town Torquay after Fawlty Towers). Next it's either Final Fantasy Tactics or Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. Really looking forward to Portal 2.

Loved the first lego Star Wars game, never got round to the others, will have to eventually. Black Op's annoyed me, I played through it on mute and still guessed the ending five missions in, if you're just looking for another well run killing machine to go through it fit's that bill.
Played a lot of Deathsmiles today, great game if you're into bullethell shooters, can't think of a more aquired taste though.
I don't think Fawlty Towers invented Torquay...
Playing Demon's Souls, it's really hard and not particularly rewarding yet.

Harsh times, hope you do a full heal soon. Sunshine is great, never understood people's problems with it, seemed like a beautifully crafted disk of delights to me.

Back from the surgery. They stuck a camera and a laser up my willy and weren't able to blast away a stone "the size of half a tube of lipstick." They did, however, make it so that it hurts like all hell to pee. Time to play Super Mario Sunshine. Thanks for the well wishes!

Thanks, jackrebel. Feel better now thanks to my new friend oxycodone. Awesome podcast yesterday, Ray. I listened to it on the long, scary drive to the hospital and it cheered me right up. Back to Mario!
