We are brilliant actors actually especially me and Ed would be if someone would just give him a chance like they used to do with me.

Alright fine, i played super mario world on the DS a fortnight ago.
Thank you.Posted 1 month ago # -
Right, I have just bought a PSP Go to cheer myself up and it arrived today. Why the flying fuck have they taken the UMD out of it and why the fuck did no one tell me they had? I had bought like 5 games for it. I should have done the research yeah but am i an idiot for just assuming that a PSP would be able to play PSP games on it, no fair.

I have been playing:
Call of Duty: Black Ops -- made the mistake of reviewing it on PC, and since the multiplayer was totally fucked, I scored it low, thus earning hatred (again) from idiots. The UnderGarden: Beautiful little XBLA game that I doubt will get much attention, despite being rather lovely. Check it out!Faery: Legend of Avalon: XBLA RPG, not bad at all. Impressive considering the format.Sonic Colors: It's pretty decent but suffers from a lot of the same problems all 3D Sonic games have. There is some stuff that is still criminally badly designed. When it works, it really works though.Posted 1 month ago # -
I played Kane & Lynch 2 the other day. A game has never managed to make me genuinely upset. And playing as a naked torture victim for 20 minutes wasn't something I particularly wanted to do.
Mirror's Edge is rather good though :)

Mirrors Edge is one of the worst games I've evr played... :/
I just played Silent Hill for wii and Black Ops for Xbox

I wouldn't say Mirror's Edge was one of the worse games ever but it wasn't great. Tested my patience very early on and remains uncompleted on my shelf.

Just got a free GameCube. Any recommended titles? I've played Super Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, the Resident Evil remake, and Resident Evil Zero in the past.
Posted 1 month ago # -
The main two I'd say to pick up over all others are Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem - which is in my mind one of the best games of all time - and Killer 7, the weirdest and most entertaining first person shooter I've ever played.
Resident Evil 4 is a terrific game, if you played it on PS2 or Wii though there isn't much point of course.
Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes is a great remake.
Star Wars Rouge Squadron 2 is one of the very few Star Wars games that can be classified as good, and it is very good.
F Zero GX is a brutal but beautiful racing game.
Viewtiful Joe is really fun and really funny and quite hard.
Paper Mario is great too, a real anti-JRPG in that it doesn't take itself or it's franchise seriously in the slighest and is genuinely very funny throughout.

I got Assassin's Creed Brotherhood the other day but am yet to get round to playing it. I found the second one a bit like a holiday in Italy so I am looking forward to it if it is as immersive.
Why not tell me it is rubbish? (Is it?)Posted 1 month ago # -
I've heard mostly good things about it. Only lasted a couple of hours with AC1 before I got bored, but am going to give it another go because my friend is hassling me to get this new one for the online multiplayer, and I can't just jump into playing a 3 when I've not gone through 1 and 2.

Gran Turismo 5 was posted to me today so I'll be on that tomorrow, and for the rest of my life

A Predator: Thanks for the recommendations. I've played RE4 and VJ on PS2. Eternal Darkness is the main thing I want to try out. The original MGS is enough for me, I dunno if I could stomach the remake. Funnily enough, I love the RE1 remake as much as the original.
In other news, I decided to stop playing FFXIII after beating the final boss. Does anyone else feel like having a bunch of post-game material feels odd? Like you don't feel compelled to play it because you've already beaten the storyline? Time to resume Uncharted 2.

I am playing the new Splatterhouse. Damn hard game, which wouldn't be a problem if the loading times were better. Some of the 2D platforming is proper shit, too. Otherwise, it's a better game than I thought it'd be. Pretty good for a big, dumb, metal-infused brawler.

Was loving Assassin's Creed Brotherhood till Danny fucking Wallace started fucking talking again. And it was so unfair, his character was there for a bit and silent and I thought "Cool he's not in it this time" and then he started and I turned it off. I will go back to it when I am calmer.
Posted 1 month ago # -
Why is Danny Wallace in that game? He's not for anything, I mean I know he's supposed to be the comic relief but christ, it's like he was the last name on a list they made of people they thought they could realistically get but you know, Richard Bacon and Dom Joly turned them down. It's a great game though, if a bit bollocks towards the end.

He was probably working in the production of it, somebody probably said - "Danny we need an ace comedian to do this voice in it" and then he probably went in a room for a few weeks, entrusted to be in charge of producing and nurturing new & existing talent, and then he probably came out of the office a bit later and went "I'll do it".
I'm not saying this is what happened at the BBC.I am just saying never underestimate the value of nepotism and "foot in the door".Posted 1 month ago # -
Getting back to Modern Warfare 2 in a big way while waiting for Christmas. PSN name: henrydavidmarse. Gonna play through the first four (and only good) Silent Hill titles over the weekend.

Replaying Lost Odyssey. I had the Japanese version which worked on my UK Xbox but since I moved I needed an American version. Game is still as great as I remember. Truly the last superb console JRPG I've played.
Posted 1 month ago # -
Started playing Lost Odyssey last year because I love Final Fantasy games and had heard really good things about it, but I just couldn't get into it at all. Probably didn't give it much of a chance in fairness, but I just remember being really underwhelmed by the first few hours of the game and my interest drifted away.
Probably worth a replay though...

Just finished Black Ops, played the entire thing on mute (listening to P&G whilst shooting people upon people in the face is much more fun than listening to the stupid fucking story) and still saw the twist coming a few missions in. Technical totally fine as you'd expect though.

I'm downloading Dead Nation at the moment (for PS3). It's done by Housemarque who did the awesome Super Stardust. I'll let you know how good the zombie killing is once it's done downloading.

recently downloaded the demo for fist of the north star after watching an episode many years ago and instantly fell in love (in both cases) and have now ordered that and am waiting for it to arrive. i mean what else do you know that allows you to stab people in the temples with your thumbs and then have them explode

Gave up on playing through Silent Hill a quarter of the way through the first game; it hasn't aged as well as I thought it had. Time for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
Posted 4 weeks ago # -
I love Dead Nation! Gorgeous graphics, very atmospheric plus you get to kill zombies by the bucket-full.

I am rubbish at getting involved in the new games. Still playing The Saboteur a lot. Because I like Grand Theft Auto, but don't like being that naughty, so with this I can do all the nicking cars and killing people, but still fight Jerry. Lovely.

Finally getting around to playing Fable 2, which will be directly followed by Fable 3.
Can't think of any upcoming games that I have any interest in playing at all. Suspect my Xbox will gather dust between completing Fable and the release of Gears of War 3 and Arkham City next year.

Just started 'Amnesia the Dark Descent' really loving it an hour in, builds up the fear and tension relentlessly. Haven't played a horror game as good as this in ages.

OK, who's seen the new Batman Arkham City trailer and who's stonking old bonk on is as big as mine?
